Get involved in CANRI
Environmental management and planning decisions
invariably need to be based on a wide range of information considered
as a whole. Government agencies and other organisations have created
CANRI as a shared framework - an Internet round table - to bring together
all stakeholders' information and present it in a meaningful way to
inform community debate and achieve better decisions.
CANRI is developed collaboratively by stakeholder groups working together
on a number of specific projects
targeted at key community sectors or issues.
CANRI is based on an open technology framework
of components distributed over the Internet and developed
and managed by various government agencies and other organisations.
The information presented on CANRI websites is provided and maintained
by an even wider range of stakeholder groups.
If you represent an organisation with an interest in NSW environmental
issues and you wish to make your own information more accessible to
others, or use the CANRI framework in your own website, we would welcome
your involvement in CANRI. Our Do-It-Yourself Manual
provides:
- a high-level
CANRI vision for agency managers and
decision makers
- conceptual
orientation for communications
and web designers
- detailed/procedural
content for technical specialists
- material
for natural resource managers exploring
CANRI’s potential
To find out more, take a tour of this site, discuss your options with
the CANRI coordination team,
or get in touch with members of a CANRI group.
You can also meet the CANRI team face to face at a CANRI
event.
