Bacteriological analysis of Beachwatch and Harbourwatch programs water samples. Routine samples are taken five times a month at Sydney ocean and harbour beaches. Samples are analysed for faecal coliforms and enterococci. Some programs have varied since program was established. Annual reports detail the analysis of the data. Currently there are 35 discrete Sydney ocean beaches sample sites, 11 discrete Pittwater sample sites, 38 discrete Sydney harbour sample sites, 15 discrete Botany Bay/Georges River and 5 discrete Port Hacking sample sites
