The data comprises the monthly catch (weight of each species) by fisher and area. The data is reported by every licensed fisher by individual estuary, port of landing and one degree of latitude ocean zone. Data collection began in July 1987 and is ongoing. Data accuracy depends on fishers, checked by Fisheries Inspectors. There is a one year time lag to receive, process and verify data.
