The Patonga Creek Current Aquaculture Leases dataset contains spatial data of NSW Fisheries Recognised Aquaculture Sites (RAS) where a current aquaculture lease is in place over the site. The original survey of RAS was completed under a co-operative project of the Surveyor-Generals Department and NSW Fisheries between the years 1997 and 1999 using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) technology and captured in WGS84 (GDA) datum.

Lineage:
Coordinate geometry of recognised aquaculture sites was captured by DGPS survey. This raw data is maintained by NSW Fisheries in ASCII form. The raw data has been formatted, verified to the surveyors field sketches, and built as a GIS Vector coverage through a staged process of documented data transfer. All documents and dates of processing are archived with NSW Fisheries.
Positional accuracy:
The dataset is survey accurate to the NSW Fisheries and Surveyor-Generals Departments positional accuracy standard of a standard deviation of 1 metre or less.
Attribute accuracy:
The only aspatial attributes attached to this dataset are the aquaculture lease numbers which were correct as at the last date of database maintenance.
Logical consistency:
The dataset is maintained as a topologically correct (cleaned) dataset free of unclosed polygons, unlabelled polygons, undershooting and overshooting lines etc.
Completeness:
The dataset is complete in coverage and classification. Verification is not applicable to this dataset.
