Title: NEW SOUTH WALES DCDB POLYGON/TAGS
Custodian: Department of Information Technology and Management (LPI)
Jurisdiction: New South Wales
There are 1880 Digital Polygon/Tag tiles covering New South Wales. the tiles contain all of the polygons and tag identifiers which comprise the base information for the New South Wales Digital Cadastral Database
- BOUNDARIES
- LAND Cadastre
- Geographic extent name:
- NEW SOUTH WALES - State or Territory - New South Wales
- Geographic extent polygon:
- 141 -37.5, 154 -37.5, 154 -28, 141 -28, 141 -37.5
Note: The format for each Geographic extent name is: Name - Identifier - Category - Jurisdiction (as appropriate)
Geographic bounding box:
The bounding box encloses the maximum extents of the dataset. There may be voids or gaps within the bounding box, depending on the defined coverage of the dataset. Outer bounding rectangle as Latitude/Longitude coordinates based on the WGS84 datum (expressed as both Degrees Minutes Seconds and as decimal Degrees):
- North bounding latitude: 28 00 00.0 S (-28)
- South bounding latitude: 37 30 00.0 S (-37.5)
- East bounding longitude: 154 00 00.0 E (154)
- West bounding longitude: 141 00 00.0 E (141)
Lineage:
Cadastral polygons captured from stable base Rural Cadastral Master Transparencies produced by the Land Information Centre and stable base Large Scale Cadastral Master Transparencies, also produced by the Land Information Centre. Updated to date of capture through comparison with the Land Titles Office, Automated Land titles System (ALTS). Data was captured using a combination of Table Digitisation, Scanning, Data Import and Coordinate Geometry. Captured data was imported into Genamap for Quality Control processing by the Land Information Centre. Current storage is in Genamap vs. 6.2P
Positional accuracy:
HORIZONTAL ACCURACY - Ten percent of well defined points tested will not be in error by more than 0.5mm of scale of the source document.
Attribute accuracy:
Genamap/Oracle DCDB - All data and linkages are subject to automatic verification, ensuring 100% data integrity.
Logical consistency:
All points are labelled.
All lines intersect at nodes.
Lines do not cross unintentionally.
All lines do not exist, the data contains construction lines.
There are no duplicate lines.
Lines do not overshoot or undershoot.
All lines are not labelled.
All polygon boundaries close.
All polygons are labelled.
No polygons have duplicate labels.
All points, lines and polygons are topologically related.
Data partitions are edge matched against adjoining partitions.
Completeness:
Spatial data is complete for the entire data set.
Attribute data is available for the whole data set.
There are no data thresholds used.
