Title: NEW SOUTH WALES DTDB LANDFORM THEME LARGE SCALE CONTOURS 1:2000
Custodian: Department of Information Technology and Management (LPI)
Jurisdiction: New South Wales
Large scale contour maps were generated at a scale of 1:2000 to enhance orthophotomapping of selected areas. The contours were plotted at 2 metre intervals from 1:16000 scale photography. In some instances the contour plots were enlargements of 1:4000 scale plots. Each 1:2000 mapping area corresponds to a 1500 metre by 1150 metre area on the Integrated Survey Grid. Large scale digital contour data was captured from these map areas.

Geographic bounding box:
The bounding box encloses the maximum extents of the dataset. There may be voids or gaps within the bounding box, depending on the defined coverage of the dataset. Outer bounding rectangle as Latitude/Longitude coordinates based on the WGS84 datum (expressed as both Degrees Minutes Seconds and as decimal Degrees):
- North bounding latitude: 28 00 00.0 S (-28)
- South bounding latitude: 37 30 00.0 S (-37.5)
- East bounding longitude: 154 00 00.0 E (154)
- West bounding longitude: 141 00 00.0 E (141)
Lineage:
Contours captured from 1:16000 scale aerial photography, Cartographic Enhancement by the Land Information Centre. Scanned and Vectorised on Optigraphics 3100 to ODF file for editing using MEWS software. Translated to a Genamap import file for final editing and current storage in Genamap vs. 6.2P
Positional accuracy:
HORIZONTAL ACCURACY - Ten percent of well defined points tested will not be in error by more than 0.5mm of the scale of the source document.
VERTICAL ACCURACY - Not more than 10 percent of well defined points tested are in error by more than one half of the contour interval.
Attribute accuracy:
Currently not applicable
Logical consistency:
All features are labelled
Lines intersect at nodes
Some lines do unintentionally cross
All lines exist
All duplications are elliminated
Lines do not overshoot or undershoot
All features are labelled
There are no polygons existing
Data partitions are edge matched against adjoining data partitions
Completeness:
Spatial data is complete for the entire data set, There is no attribute data available for the data set, There are no data thresholds used.
