The Government Property Register (GPR) is a list of State government owned and controlled property. The database holds over 260,000 records of property and is the most definitive list available. The records contain information on basic property information together with ownership and agency control details.
The GPR is linked to the Integrated Property Hub for electronic updates to government land such as sales, acquisitions, subdivisions and conversions.
Under the provisions of the Annual Reports Acts, all State government statutory bodies and departments listed in the Public Finance and Audit Act, 1983 are required to identify and record details of land which they own and occupy. Approx 200 agencies are currently required to report.
The GPR is used principally by central agencies as a means of identifying property and reviewing agency land holdings. Agencies also use data to validate their own records.
