CANRI has received a Commendation in the Premier's 2001 Public Sector Awards, held at Australian Technology Park Redfern on Monday 26 November.
CANRI was one of three projects commended in the category of Economy and the Environment, which was won by the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning for
Helping trees and jobs live together: NSW Comprehensive Regional Assessments. The awards were presented by NSW Premier Bob Carr.
CANRI's award is all the more impressive considering it was based on the results of our first year of operation. CANRI is a four-year program running to June 2004.
Our thanks go out to all members of the CANRI Program Board, the Program Implementation Group,
project managers, Community Reference Group members and others who have helped get the program off to such a great start!
